In June 2001, Sri Chinmoy spent a whole week promoting peace and harmony in Oslo. The week’s activities included a Jharna-Kala art exhibition, a poetry reading in the Town Hall, the inauguration of the Eternal Peace Flame sculpture at the harbor, and a lecture at the University of Oslo. Sri Chinmoy also took time out of his busy schedule to sign copies of his book The Wings of Joy in a bookshop in the centre of town.
